What is Data Transfer (Bandwidth)?

Every time someone visits your web site, they download a certain amount of data. The total amount of data downloaded at the end of the month by all of your visitors is your amount of Data Transfer or Bandwidth you are using. Each hosting plan includes a certain amount of Data Transfer. Additional Data Transfer is charged on a usage basis.

  • Do I need to have a Domain Name to set up an account with Hitme Studios?
    NO.
    For all our hosting plans, you can either leave you domain name with your current Registrar and point the Name Server details to Hitme Studios own Name Servers or register a new domain name or transfer your existing domain name to Hitme Studios Nameservers.   • How many POP email boxes do you provide?
    Hitme Studios offers hosting account ranging from 1 POP3 email account through to Unlimited POP3 email accounts. This is in addition to the email forwarding and unlimited aliasing capabilities that can be configured from our Control Panel. All email accounts can be accessed by using any standard POP3 email program, such as Microsoft® Outlook Express, Microsoft® Outlook, Eudora, Pegasus or by using the Webmail facilities that comes with any of our website hosting packages.

  • How soon can I set up my account and transfer my domain?
    It takes about 10 minutes to setup your chosen hosting account. After this is done they you will need to contact your Registrar and have the name server details changed to Hitme Studios Name Server. Depending on which hosting account and features you choose will depend on which of our Name Servers to use. Don't worry at the time of signing up for a hosting account will will give you the correct settings to use. If you do not know the Registrar's details, we can help with this.

  • What if I exceed my monthly Data Transfer allowance?
    You will be notified by email ahead of time when you are about to exceed your monthly data transfer allowance. At that time, will be given various upgrade options from which to choose from.
